Design/Build?

Ark Remodeling and Construction is proud to announce they now have full deisgn/build services. You maybe asking yourself why this is a benefit to you? Design/build is a huge benefit to the customers of Ark Remodeling and Construction because you will no longer recieve "guesstimates". Before we ever write the estimate we draw any rendering of the job, pick out all colors and finish materials (cabinets, countertops, hardware, fixtures etc...) and present everything to you in YOUR HOME. You no longer have to spend your weekends trying to sort through the thousands of options and prices. Then when you do receive your custom estimate, you know exactly what you have picked will cost. The biggest benefit is now there is no worry about change work orders due to selections being over our allowances!

Due to the ever rising cost of paper and stamps, Ark Remodeling had decided to take the newsletter to an email format. Through this we will be able to now do a monthly newsletter, keeping you better informed. Our most recent newsletter is going out this week. Recently we seem to have gotten quite a few inquires on areas that land is available for building land. There are a few places in Gainesville and the outlying areas that we know of, some are ranging from the middle prices to high end, including a green building community. Some communities, such as Brytan, have and maybe still offering to help pay closing cost, impact fees, etc...so now is definately the time to start looking if you are at all interested or thinking about building.

Just wanted to thank everyone who came out to the Alachua Home Show! We had a good response at this show, and it was a good indicator of how things maybe slowing starting to turn around in this economy. We always appreciate your support.

Equity Lines Available

Lately all we hear in the news is that banks have no money to lend and only the poeple with stellar credit can get money. Well, that is not the case with the credit unions. Credit Unions were not affected as much by the financial crisis. They still have money to lend and plenty of it. If you are in need of an equity line of credit, new construction loan, mortgage, or some other form of financing then Credit Unions are your best bet. Right now you can contact Florida Credit Union at 352-377-4141 at any time to talk with a service person about any of the above. On home equity lines right now you dont have pay ANY closing cost or appraisal fees!! The savings alone on that are amazing!

Home Tax Credit!

Right now is the perfect time to build or buy a home if you havent owned a home in the last 3 years! The IRS is offering a tax credit of $7500 to anyone that meets that critera. The tax credit is a no interest loan to the IRS and is paid back over 15 years, at $500 a year. The loan will either be credited to your tax that is owed or will be paid back with the refunded amount. So even if you dont owe any taxes, you will still get the $7500 back as a refund. This is the perfect way to invest in your home with remodeling or building, and not have to pay any interest on the money. Most common tax software as well as most accountants will be aware of the tax credit, and they will be able to file for it. Please call with any questions.

Alachua Home Show

We will be participating in the Alachua Home Show this year. The home show in Alachua, on Main Street, is April 19th, sunday only from 10am-5pm. The show features home improvements,arts, crafts, jewelry, home & garden, writers, artists, musicians, clowns, children’s activities, inspirational, self-improvement, music, fishing tackle and boaters “toys”, tools, and quality yard sale items. Hope to see you there!

Parade of Homes

Two times a year, Gainesville host the parade of homes. Its a great opportunity for homeowners and potiental homeowners to come out and get ideas on remodeling, custom homes, and possibly even buy a home. Whats better, its completely FREE for everyone.

This year the parade is April 18th-26th, both weekends. Best time to beat the crowds is sunday. Make sure you wear your comfortable walking shoes! The newspaper typically prints a parade of homes map on the first weekend event. This paper will tell you about the home, location, and builder. You can also pick up a BANCF directory at most homes. (WE ARE LISTED AND ADVERTISED IN IT)

Home Show 2009

The home show in the O'Connell Center was a wonderful success. There were over 4,000 total visitors to the show this year, only slightly down from last year. Despite the economy we had a strong response at our booth for remodeling, additions, and even a couple custom homes. We were pleasantly surprised by how many people wanted estimates. Hopefully this is a sign of things starting to turn in the area, and look for a brighter future for everyone. We really appreciate everyone coming out to support us and the other local businesses.
